This shirt is extremely comfortable and very cool on a hot day. All of the pads are soft, and it's very light which allows for full range of motion. I would not recommend this for games with anyone older than 12 though. It's pretty thin, do the older boys will definitely put a hurting on you. Great for little league aged level though.
